VOLUNTEER ABROAD IN CEBU, PHILIPPINES

Make a Difference to Make the World a Better Place

Institute of Global Exchange (IGE) is proud to partner with Sustainable Livelihood Projects Cebu (SLPC) to offer a variety of different volunteer opportunities in Cebu Philippines. These programs offer American participants with the opportunity to assist and support communities in Cebu, Philippines, that are facing challenges of poverty. The purpose of this program is not only to serve these communities, but to provide sufficient food source, education, and job opportunities for the people to create a more sustaining environment.

Goal

Help build a sustainable community

Institute of Global Exchange (IGE) seeks to provide American citizens with the opportunities to volunteer abroad to promote mutual understanding between the United States and other countries as well as helping other countries create a sustainable community.

Our goal is to provide long term help. Yes, helping with the education of some children and weekly feeding can help but we do not want the children and families in these communities to keep on depending on people to just hand them food or any kind of donation, as much as possible we want them to eventually stand on their own and for the parents to provide for their own family.

Institute of Global Exchange, Inc. is a U.S. Department of State designated J-1 Visa sponsor organization for the Intern and Trainee Exchange Visitor Programs.
