INternship

IGE Placement Program

IGE sources internship and training opportunities in the United States for foreign nationals wishing to learn about American business and advance your career skills. Each employer is vetted by IGE.

You must have sufficient English skills as well as funds to support yourself for the entire length of the program in the United States, including housing and living expenses, and you must apply for positions that are directly related to your educational background or work experience.

Program Number: 2201

Program Duration: 12 months

Location: Roslyn, New York

Housing & Meals: 3 meals/day Provided

Stipend: $15/hour

Host Company Description: Located within an hour from New York City and 18 miles from JFK International Airport. Elegant boutique hotel on Long Island’s North Shore, nestled in the historic village of Roslyn. Lined with charming shops and exquisite homes, the hotel is a true neighborhood destination.

Applicant Qualification:  You must be a undergraduate/graduate student majoring in a field related to hospitality, tourism or restaurant management OR a recent graduate who will begin the program within 12 months of the graduation date.

Training Includes: Shadowing and observing the supervisor in F&B operations, operation management, and customer relations

Program Duration: 12 months

Location:  Phoenix, AZ or Belcamp, MD

Housing & Meals: Not Provided

Stipend:  $2,106/month

Host Company Description: The host company has been creating consistent high quality, authentic dry and liquid food products for over 30 years.  From product development, processing, and packing to quality assurance, the host company specializes in custom food manufacturing of sauces, seasonings, and dry mixes for retail, wholesale, food service, and industrial needs.

Applicant Qualification: You must be a undergraduate/graduate student majoring in a field related to purchasing OR a recent graduate who will begin the program within 12 months of the graduation date.

Training Includes: Shadowing and observing the supervisor in inventory management, purchasing procedures, sales data analysis and communication with suppliers/vendors

Quality Control Program

Program Number: 2204

Program Duration: 12 months

Location: Lafayette, CA

Housing & Meals: Not Provided

Stipend: $13~/hour

Host Company Description: The host company is a leading exporter of farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, and have built their business on service, relationships, and experience. We work with more than 300 growers throughout the U.S., South Africa, and South America and export to wholesale distributors and retailers in more than 35 countries in Asia, the Middle East, South America and Europe. 

Applicant Qualification: You must be a undergraduate/graduate student majoring in a field related to accounting or finance OR a recent graduate who will begin the program within 12 months of the graduation date. 

Training Includes: Shadowing and observing the supervisor in Accounting Software, Corporate Finance, Payroll System, Accounts Payables/Receivables and Corporate Tax.
